Inspiration Peak, Minnesota
One of the many things I love doing when traveling, and even in my spare time is hiking and going on trails. Since I was a kid, on of my favorites was going to a place called Inspiration Peak. Located not far from the Continental Divide, in Clitherall Minnesota, is the 1,750 feet above sea level peak and is the highest point in Ottertail County Minnesota. Inspiration Peak got it’s name due to the author Sinclair Lewis going there to gain “inspiration” for his novels, short stories, and plays. Crazy Horse Memorial
Earlier this year I got to go on a little trip to South Dakota. I got to go see Strugis, Mount Rushmore, Wall Drug and the Crazy Horse Memorial Monument, which isn’t far from Mount Rushmore. It is currently still under construction but is open to the public to come and view. Construction started in 1948 on the privately owned land by the sculptor Korczak Ziolkowski. Korczak was commissioned by the Lakota elder, Henry Standing Bear to memorialize, honor, and bring remembrance to Crazy Horse. Crazy Horse was is one of the most well know Native American warriors, most famously know from the Battle of Little Bighorn in 1876. Construction…

Where the Heck is Wall Drug?!
Well I can tell you not only where the heck it is but also what the heck it is! I recently took a trip to South Dakota with my family to see Mount Rushmore, Crazy Horse, Sturgis, and of course the infamous Wall Drug. I have had these stops on my bucket list for years now, especially Wall Drug after the story my Granddaddy told me growing up. 25 years prior to this trip my parents took one with my Granddaddy to see Mount Rushmore and Crazy Horse.
